About 40 years ago this month in 1985, a nearly 13 year old boy (Myself) met in person the lovely Jill Bryson and Rose McDowall of Strawberry Switchblade at my local HMV record shop in Exeter's Guildhall Shopping Centre opposite what use to be the largest Woolworth's store in the world. They were apart of the Scotland's Girl Bands scene. I was mesmerised by their look, clothes, and their music etc, I went up to them to get my record signed by them and i complimented them both. Rose McDowall complimented me saying how impressed she was in me for liking good alternative music at such a young age and Rose gave me a kiss on my cheek.
